Note:A couple of weeks ago, we sent out video of Blu and Pharoahe Monch speaking about the upcoming Shafiq Husayn album entitled "Shafiq En' A-Free-Ka" dropping October 6th on Plug Research. Later that night, an amazing array of musicians came together to take part in a jam session of epic proportions. Featuring Pharoahe Monch, Shafiq Husayn (SA-RA), Om'Mas Keith (SA-RA), Brook D'leau (J Davey), Mark De Clive Lowe, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (Suite for Ma Dukes), Thundercat, and more, it was definitely a night to remember. Using "Love Czars" from their Nuclear Evolution album as inspiration, the SA-RA Creative Partners create "Love Czars II" exclusively for this release. This is not a remix (the music is completely different), and in a clash of heavyweight new schoolers, it features red hot MC/producer Jay Electronica and Ta'Raach on the mic. Also included is "Powder Bump", a SA-RA track previously unavailable on vinyl.

Please note that this is a very special limited release with the music on one side and the Serato tone on the flip of some very pink vinyl! This is an official Serato Control Vinyl release which as a conventional 12" release on Side A, and is a Serato Control Vinyl release on Side B.

1.Love Czars II (feat. Jay Electronica / Ta'Raach)
2.Love Czars II (Instrumental)
3.Powder Bump
4.Love Czars II (Serato Vinyl Control)

Ladies&Gentleman, please take your seats and have a deep listen. Shuanise is here!

UpMyAlley is equally happy and proud to present the very first EP of extra talented London based singer Shuanise. aptly entitled “Voice Of Reason”. Already known from her critically acclaimed “Untitled” effort with UpMyAlley family member fLako on BBE`s “Dirty Soul Electric” Compilation she is now coming at you with fresh unheard musical goodness, delivering 3 stunning tracks that all capture a really different vibe and all come in both vocal & instrumental versions.

From the jazzy yet uplifting “Baggage For Sale” and the bumpy, infectous fLako produced “Alailoye” to the laidbackness of “Purple Haze” this EP holds something for everyone sharing our love for soulful music.

First things first: this is a Jus Like Music Exclusive! The very first single from Ninja Tune’s fantastic new signing, Andreya Triana, is called Lost Where I Belong. It’s taken from her forthcoming debut album, which will come out on Ninja Tune next Spring. This single officially drops on 14th December and the b-side will be a Flying Lotus remix.

This exclusive sneak preview will only be around for 500 downloads – or until Ninja Tune chop my head off, whichever comes first! After that, you’ll just have to be patient and wait till December!

Andreya Triana is an amazing vocalist, although that really does go without saying. She has featured on some quality tracks and albums over the past few years, and worked with artists like; Flying Lotus, Kid Kanevil, Mr. Scruff, Bonobo, Theo Parrish, Natural Self, Aaron Jerome, TM Juke And The Jack Baker Trio, Homecut and Fink. I’m very much looking forward to her debut album, which is being produced by the mighty Bonobo and I hear will also feature label-mate Fink. No doubt more information about the album (like an album name!) will become known in due course, and I’m confident that you’ll be reading about it here first – so stay tuned.

Also, if you are in London next Thursday (1st October) you can catch Andreya supporting Alice Russell at Koko in Camden. The show kicks off at 7pm and tickets are £15, of which you can purchase at Ticketweb.

2010 is gonna be a big year for Andreya Triana, so you better tell a friend about this cheeky download, because I have a feeling it will be taken down (for one reason or another) VERY soon!

Upcoming Live Dates:

Oct 01 2009 – KOKO Supporting Alice Russell (Live Band), London

Oct 03 2009 – Bianco, Rosso and Blues Festival (Acoustic Set), Perugia

Oct 25 2009 – Hifi Club supporting Mayer Hawthorne (Acoustic Set), Leeds

Dec 11 2009 – Paradiso (Acoustic Set), Amsterdam

Newness! EPK for Scarub and Very's Afro Classics album, "Classic Rock" In-Stores and online on October 6, 2009

You might remember the track , 'Mary Jane' Produced by fLako with the hip hop group Keyel.. The 25th september yes, tomorrow Keyel will drop a record/mixtape/album "Keyel Vol.1" . It's one of the best drops in 09' hip hop as it finest - Keyel have that very own sound twisted with a Slum Village/ Dilla Sound. It's really that dope. The mixtape/record or whatever you choose to call it, is a 18 track-long of dopeness. AJB gives a you a little preview of it for your enjoyment & features the song called H.A.Y.B ft. Ahp Qwes from the Keyel Vol.1 - Which is just one of many of the dope tracks you will hear tomorrow.

KEYEL is a hip hop group hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, consisting of emcee’s Prose, Holy Moly, Pease, and DJ ESO.

While the emcees have been childhood friends for many years, the collective that is now known as KEYEL was born from a mutual love of raw hip hop and appreciation of similar influences. The crew met DJ ESO while wyling out at a Slum Village show- and the beginning of a musical experience had begun.

Pulling influence from Detroit rap pioneers J Dilla (RIP) and Slum Village, as well as acts such as Common, DJ Premier, and Madlib, KEYEL has successfully recreated a sound equal parts classic hip hop and new age dope. Their pledge is to keep it all about the music as they continue to develop sonically. No B.S.- just that raw shit. No gimmicks- just key elements.

KEYEL has shared the stage with acts such as Little Brother, Murs, Brother Ali, Tyga, Poetic Republic, and plans on continuing to rock shows and move crowds everywhere they go.

Playlist includes Mike Slott, Brenk, 14KT, fLako, Samiyam, Paul White, AEED, Onra, Madlib, B.Bravo, Dorien Concept, Take, Flying Lotus, Powell, Illa J, Letherette, Annu, Elaquent, Kenlo Craqnuques, Harmonic 313, Ad Bourke, Dimlite, Eprom and Metabeats... Whut you don't know?? U do now.

Two years after the genre defying Beat Dimensions Vol. 1, we can now present you the long overdue Vol. 2. Released on vinyl as 3 separate 12” parts and special 7”, it’s now available on CD and digital. Volume 2 continues where the first left off. Twenty exclusive beats from forward thinking producers the world over.

Exciting and contrasting instrumentals from known producers such as
Danny Breaks (Alphabet Zoo / Droppin’ Science), Dorian Concept (Kindred Spirits), Dimlite (All City), Ras G (Poobah) & Samiyam (Brain Feeder), Exile (Sound In Color), Fulgeance (Musique Large) + sick sounds from new kids Nosaj Thing (Alpha pup) Dizz1, Low Limit & Tiago, Devon and and and and and…

Compiled by ‘beat connoisseurs’ Cinnaman & Jay Scarlett, the compilation touches on many different angles of ‘this music’. There’s introspective, tripped out and buzzing synth scapes, short popping electronic songs to full-on MPC party thumpers.
Ever since its first releases, almost three years ago, Beat Dimensions has aided the developments in beat orientated music, becoming almost a genre in itself. It won’t be long before we are talking about Volume 3……well, maybe you’ll have to wait a bit…!

New music video from Tiron with the song 'Throwin My Money' , One of AJB favorite Tiron of 'Your favorite new mixtape' track back..

Not to be classified as an ordinary mixtape or producers beat CD, Orchestration is unparalleled. Created on the premise of an orchestral score, producer REL and DJ Haylow collaborate to bring you a truly unique interpretation of Hip Hop instrumentalism.

The Orchestration project contains over 30 instrumentals produced solely by REL, who displays a range in sound that is distinct and can be appreciated by any music aficionado.
DJ Haylow has an extensive mixtape catalog, but he approached this assignment from an unfamiliar angle.

Playing the role as the "conductor", Haylow blends, tweaks, and manipulates REL's production to give the Orchestration project a cohesive refinement that is worthy of it's own musical genre.
With REL as the arranger and DJ Haylow as the conductor, Orchestration is the contemporary model for Hip Hop instrumentation.

Melting Pot:

"Es Entstehen Wesen" with Fleur Earth on the mic and Twit One on the beat.
The follow up to the band album "Soul des Cabots" is a marriage of Fleur's abstract soul lyrics and Twit's playful dusty grooves and sounds like nothing else.

Full Crate told me about this video a month back about it being a crazy & just basically insane, Crate I hope you guys didn't hurt yourself too much makin this! But if you did, it was worth it.. Skate skillz on top and song & video produced in a fresh & creative way. Love !

Of Nalden:
Full Crate is on a roll! The young producer slash dj is really busy these days crafting beats, blessed with soulful vocals by Mar. The other day he called me about this small project he was doing, called 80's sugar. If I would host the video and song. After I saw the video I was hooked which is the very reason you're reading this post now. I really, really love the vibe of the song in combination with the music video. It features FS Green, Mar and Full Crate himself skating like it's the eighties. Press Play to watch the video and click here to download the song! Ladida...

Stones Throw just let us this little goodie for free but only for a week so grab while you can!
It's Koushik. It's a 30-track instrumental album.

Koushik specializes in making that hazy, hip-hop-based downbeat sh*t that you could easily compare to contemporaries such as Four Tet (who released Koushik's first single on his Text label), RJD2, and DJ Shadow. What sets Koushik apart from the others is a beautiful '60s psych-pop element that tends to pervade throughout. It shows itself in the spacious panned strings, acoustic guitars, and harpsichords that fall in and out of each other; and the beats have a harder regimented classic true school hip-hop sound, that Fourtet and Prefuse tend to stray away from. But what I truly love about this record is Koushik's voice. His singing is soft and mixed way down in the center of the track, sounding like the voice choirs you'd hear on one of those old Percy Faith or 101 Guitars from the late-'60s. If you're a fan of any of the aforementioned artists, you need this record. – OTHER MUSIC, NYC

Nero just dropped this new video - Off Nero's "Alive & Vibrant: Relive The Moment"
Directed by Osama Hussein Productions.

We got a new promo joint from the newest addition to the Public Axis family, Curly Castro. "First Release" is a dope, bittersweet recollection of personal fallouts and learning experiences in the rap game that all too many of us can identify with. The beat, provided by Justin M, sounds like a dark b-side to Flying Lotus' Los Angeles album, perfectly complementing Castro's storytelling...

So it's Sunday once again the end of yet another week! This sunday with a gift from yours trurly Co$$ with a new song for our pleasure - never get enough from this cat. A laidback down to earth track called 'Pastel' with Sene & Brea & a bonus for you - called 'Co$$is' in a production by The Soul Academy.

Co$$ 'Pastel' with Sene & Brea (ofdeeprooted)

Co$$ - Co$$is pro. The Soul Academy

Today featured at AJB are - Mic Mulligan & S.FUTURE who together gives us the record; Original Space Brothers. A sound that reminds of Madlib/MF Doom twisted in their own way. Laid Back experimental rap along with heavy beats. Lisent to the two joints featured below, don't sleep on them!

From the mind that brought you ‘RETURN OF THE ARTIST’ in 2004, pops two more figments of imagination straight from the ether: MIC MULLIGAN and S. FUTURE are ORIGINAL SPACE NEIGHBORS. Planet Earth, ready yourselves for a cosmic awakening soaring deeper into late-night satellite smoke from this mini-LP of MEGA proportions. Sci-Fi beats from Lo-Fi outer space intersect the big-bang theory of hip-hop morphing humanity into dripping plasma as S. FUTURE’S floating laboratory hovers low over the earth. These messages from the outer spheres of urban spaceship exotica are delivered in and out of time and rhyme by the MIC of MULLIGAN with a handful of cameo appearances. Those special guests include: UNCLE JIM, JAH NICE, NIGGERACHI, & the Space Needle! Limited to 500 copies.

YYY says:Welcome to Friday everyone. We made it another week and I believe we probably all deserve a little something to help us relax and unwind. Luckily I have just the thing. Light Of Day by Jesse Futerman. I’m labeling it a podcast but don’t get it twisted this thing is an ALBUM. You might remember his music from the last podcast we dropped from Ben (A.K.A. Jack High) a few days back.

Hailing from Toronto Jesse Futerman is only 18 years old. His music would suggest otherwise as its patience and calmness stinks of a person twice his age. We should keep an eye on him for sure. He’s going to be dangerous.

We have been working for about a year to bring this album to you and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed the process of getting everything just right.

Grab the ALBUM HERE.

Good people at Cosmic Soul Collective dropped this fresh song made by Jamar Equality an emcee from San Antonio in a production by Time Travel. The joint called 'What your mind sees' goes of hard- Absolutly loveable!

Word from Time Travel:So awhile ago I came into contact with a dope MC named “Jamar Equality” via myspace. Jamar Equality is from San Antonio, Texas & is one of the best MC’s I have ever heard. So after i hit him up, we clicked. He was feeling the beats I had, and i was feeling the tracks he had even more. So we talked business and have now done a few tracks together. Jamar & myself will have a mixtape coming soon (no exact date yet) titled, “Modern Warfare”. Don’t sleep on Jamar, or the tape were working on. Jam our track, “What Your Mind Sees” (produced by me) below, which is just a quick mix for now, but still ill.

Error Broadcast is back with another dope release this time by
Swede:art x A-rec x Fuer.steps in a record called ABC Alphabeat , download it for free, tracklist below!

For the producer, a beat tape functions like a black book for the graffiti writer: he develops his skills, he adventures himself to unknown artistic territory. The beat juggler compiles ideas, drafts and loops in a beat tape. Do not expect full-grown songs. The beauty of a beat tape lies in the incomplete.

The first installation in a series of beat tapes here at Error Broadcast is ABC Alphabeat, a compilation of raw and unpolished scribblings from Boom Bap to Wonky Rap, Dubstep and textural electronic music.

Behind ABC Alphabeat is three young German Rap cats, namely Swede:art, A-rec and Fuer.steps. While you might have heard of sir Swede:art for his Monday Jazz mix or his feature on Mishoo the Drumkit’s recent EP and A-rec who popped up in a Lucky Me mix, fella Fuer.steps is pretty virgin to the scene.

Get to know these kids and re-learn your ABC! You won’t regret.
