Just a little something to enjoy this friday evening - Stranger Day's official music video for "Not Playin", directed by Ben Coffman.

'Voltage Controlled Feelings' is a newly discovered planet orbiting a distant star, that also pays homage to the synthesizers, drum machines and the artists who influenced Opolopo's music. Echoes of Prince, Herbie Hancock, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and Isao Tomita can be heard throughout the album.

Fellow electronauts include L.A. vocalist Erik Rico, known for his work with Marc Mac and Tupac Shakur, UK acid jazz hit singer Farah, Toronto-based jazz vocalist Sacha Williamson and Stockholm-based oral transmorpher of sounds and words Amalia 'Miz Fuze' Townsend, who will soon also release her debut album via TDR produced by Opolopo.

Supported by respected funkateers such as Dam-Funk, King Britt, Daz-I-Kue and Laurent Garnier, you best put on your finest space suit and dappest boogie shoes to catch the Opolopo starcruiser!

Look out for the "Voltage Controlled Feelings" dropping December 3rd on Tokyo Dawn Records.

Our World ft. Eric Rico

One of the best album's this year in my opinion, this record has been on an instant replay. So won't go wrong with a really nice remix by Exile on "Think It Over" which is one of the very deep tracks on Airtights Revenge.

Note:

For your mid-week enjoyment, VTech and Plug Research Music bring you LA based produced Exile's incredible remix of Bilal's "Think It Over," delving deeper into Bilal's forte of bittersweet blues tunes. The track, co-written by Hezekiah, fondly recounts longing for a love lost - realizing that space is sometimes needed for time to work its healing magic.

Exile manages to update the track's original throw-back feel (produced by 88-Keys) with added kick-drums, chants, haunting echoes, and resonating baselines, while still capturing the overall essence of the original version. This remix is a perfect example of the exceptional work that we've become accustomed to from Exile. Download, press play, close your eyes, and commence to reminiscing.

Bobby Blunt + Vex = Huey Nuetron. Originally teaming up as a duo while Vex was residing in Norfolk, VA, these two eclectic artists join forces as Huey Nuetron to bring forth Are We There Yet?; a project that is as funky as it is concious and as soulful as it is futuristic. Now a resident of his birthplace of Pittsburgh, PA, Vex handles all of the production duties on this musical compositon that takes the listener on a musical journey as Norfolk, VA’s own Bobby Blunt narrates in his usual soul-drenched, matter-of-fact fashion. Prepare yourself for a glimpse into the future of hip hop soul.

A-Side Worldwide is preparing to release the Crown Royale album, the pairing of veteran Michigan emcee Buff1 with World Famous Beat Junkie, DJ Rhettmatic.
